SUSE has strengthened its regional leadership with the appointment of Marshal Correia as General Manager for India and South Asia, a move aimed at accelerating growth and expanding its enterprise open source and AI-focused strategy in the region.
The appointment comes at a time when India is emerging as a key global market for digital transformation. According to SUSE’s recent research, 62% of Indian enterprises are already investing in digital sovereignty, surpassing the global average, while 90% of organizations are planning to increase AI spending highlighting growing demand for secure, flexible, and vendor-neutral infrastructure.
“South Asia is a huge hub for open source and technological development, and AI has underscored the need for collaborative, transparent innovation,” said Marshal Correia, General Manager for India and South Asia, SUSE.
Correia brings over four decades of industry experience, with a strong track record in leading enterprise transformation and scaling technology businesses across India and global markets. Prior to joining SUSE, he held leadership roles at Red Hat, where he served as Vice President and General Manager for India and SAARC, as well as at DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Compaq.
In his new role, Correia will focus on strengthening SUSE’s presence across South Asia, helping enterprises modernize IT environments, adopt open source technologies, and scale AI-driven innovation.
SUSE’s leadership emphasized that the region’s growing emphasis on open, transparent, and secure digital ecosystems aligns closely with its strategy of enabling enterprise transformation through open source solutions.
With increasing investments in AI and digital infrastructure, SUSE is positioning itself to support organizations in building resilient, scalable, and sovereign technology environments placing India at the center of its regional growth ambitions.
