SMBC and Fujitsu Partner to Launch AI-Powered Data Analytics Venture

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and Fujitsu Limited have announced a strategic partnership to develop a data analytics business powered by AI, aimed at helping companies improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

The initiative follows a joint survey revealing demand across industries for more data-driven operations. SMBC brings financial and data science expertise, while Fujitsu contributes cutting-edge AI forecasting tools using its patented Dynamic Ensemble Model technology.

Planned services include custom analytics solutions, joint marketing, and pilot programs leveraging both companies’ assets. The initiative aligns with SMBC’s “Plan for Fulfilled Growth” and Fujitsu’s sustainability-focused Uvance model.
