Modi’s 10 points vision on Digital India

India is certainly on a growth path. We have lost enough of time in the past but now the time has come that we should cash in the opportunity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday July 1, 2015 launched the ‘Digital India Week’ witnessed by around 10,000 guests including top notch industry leader. The aim is to make citizens digitally literate and provide e-governance to the society.

His 10 points vision talks about:

  • myGov.in, allow citizen to participate in Government’s discussion through Mobile
    Products should be created in different languages and age groups to address the Population of 125 crore internet users
  • Employment for around 18 lakh people
  • Digital Godowns to serve as bank lockers to protect important documents
  • Bharat Net, to connect to all 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats of country would be world’s largest rural
  • Broadband Connectivity project using optical fibre.
  • WI-FI hotspot throughout the country through BSNL
  • The Online Registration System (ORS) that will provide important services under eHospital
  • eSign Framework to help citizens digitally sign a document with Aadhaar authentication.
  • Swatchh Bharat Mission Mobile app, to achieve the Swachh Bharat goals
  • DeitY under Digitize India Platform for large scale digitazation
