Godavari Commodities Ltd. welcomes Arindam Sarma as Chief Information Officer.
Godavari Commodities Limited is a leading company in the business of coal trading and mining since last two decades. The company is also a 50% promoter of Trans Damodar Coal Mining (P) Ltd, a SPV who had undertaken the job of Mine Developer Cum Operator of Trans Damodar Coal Block of West Bengal Mineral Development & Trading Corporation Ltd. Therefore, the company has becomes a single stop solution for coal procurement including consultancy, mining, trading, logistics, handling and Liaoning.
Reporting to the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Sharma would lead the Digital Transformation journey of the organisation, which would include IT Budgeting & IT policy designing to Project Management to IT Infrastructure & Operations Management to IT Security Management (Data/Network/Server) and Vendor Management. He would also be responsible for ERP Implementation, System up-gradation, Change Management, skilling and IT Training Management.
Before joining Godavari Commodities, Mr. Sharma was with Second Vivekananda Bridge Tollway Company Private Limited (SVBTC) as General Manager IT, where he was heading the entire IT infrastructure, managing vendors for IT services, building an internal IT team within the organisation and had taken care of Automation, System upgradation, Digital transformation, Systems Maintenance, etc.
Mr Sharma is a veteran of two decades of technology and leadership experience and have worked in various organizations in multiple leadership roles. Further, he will be based out of Kolkata.
