Highlights regarding implementations in 2016: Completed PoC of utilizing PVLANs to create a secure Bulk Data Network within the CI. Collaboration between various teams lead to the improvement of the current patching and compliance maintenance cycle and significantly reducing the labor effort previously required and leading to improved adherence of the company patching and compliance policies.
We initiated a program to advance the operational intelligence through expanded coverage and scope of how we monitor the underlying systems & platforms and how the signals from the system can be converted into a correlation. This is the first step towards driving the IT operational intelligence in the direction of preventing issues proactively. In May, 2016, team conducted a thorough audit of Converged platforms, Data devices and Storage foot prints and bridged all monitoring gaps across the environment. In addition, all the signal data was aggregated to build the first version of real time correlation Single Pane of glass.
Plans for 2017 from technology and projects’ point of view: Enabling our digital transformation strategy to support changes in financial technology world and a shift in the way technology products are developed and delivered. This will be done by expanding DevOps for rapid deployment. We will be extending our data lake by leveraging an advanced hardware/software deployment model, and creating a connecting data-rich platform for customer driven solutions. Last, but not least, protecting the integrity of our business by advancing our machine learning and security vulnerability programs.
Success mantra: First and foremost, I am leader only if there is a team. My leadership mantra is primarily about being part of my team than about leading them. I listen to people around me empathetically and feel the situation. I strongly believe while intelligence and experience are essential threshold capabilities, emotional connect is the sine qua non of effective management philosophy.
