Snowflake appoints Sanjay Deshmukh as new Senior Regional Vice President, ASEAN and India

Snowflake, the Data Cloud Company, today announced the appointment of Sanjay Deshmukh as Senior Regional Vice President for ASEAN and India. In this role, Sanjay has been tasked to drive customer success, strengthen partnerships, and consistently increase brand equity. His responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans to advance Snowflake’s leadership across the region as well as to enable partner success through building a robust partner ecosystem. 

With over 25 years of experience in the information technology (IT) industry, Sanjay is a seasoned professional with expertise in business development and technology strategy. Given his strong track record, proven leadership skills, and extensive knowledge of the industry, he is well-positioned to manage all business operations across the region, and support clients’ and partners’ success. Prior to joining Snowflake, he has held several leadership roles. He was formerly Vice President at VMware, where he was responsible for business growth in Southeast Asia and Korea for more than seven years. Prior to that, Sanjay took on the Area Vice President role at Citrix Systems India. He also served as Vice President for Business User and Platform Group and Country Manager for BusinessObjects at SAP, where he was instrumental in pioneering business intelligence and analytics in the Indian subcontinent. 

With his rich experience in the industry, Sanjay’s core responsibilities now include leading inter-departmental teams in achieving company goals and extending Snowflake’s market positioning. As the new senior regional vice president, Sanjay will champion innovation in the company to deliver Snowflake’s value proposition to partners and clients to generate business growth in ASEAN and India.
