The CIO500 & Accelerator X Awards 2026 Kolkata edition brought together more than 150 senior IT, cybersecurity and digital leaders to discuss AI, innovation, cyber resilience and enterprise transformation while honoring over 90 technology achievers.

The event also marked the launch of SuperWomen in IT India, recognized visionary leaders and celebrated the power of collaboration through the support of IEEE TEMS Kolkata Chapter, PTA and leading technology partners.

On 7 August 2026, the ballroom at Novotel Kolkata came alive with energy, ideas and inspiration as more than 150 senior IT, cybersecurity and digital transformation leaders gathered for the CIO500 & Accelerator X Awards 2026 Kolkata Edition. Organized by Enterprise IT World, the event was part of the prestigious nationwide CIO500 and Accelerator X Awards tour, bringing together technology decision-makers from across India to recognize excellence, share insights and inspire future innovation.

As delegates from manufacturing, BFSI, education, media, infrastructure, retail, consumer goods, technology services and digital-first organizations arrived at the venue, there was a strong sense of anticipation. The event represented far more than an awards ceremony. It was a platform where leaders exchanged ideas, debated challenges, explored opportunities and celebrated technology’s growing role in business transformation.

The Kolkata chapter once again demonstrated why Eastern India continues to emerge as one of the country’s most vibrant technology ecosystems.

The formal proceedings began with a welcome from the emcee, followed by opening remarks from Sanjay Mohapatra, Editor, Enterprise IT World and Jury Member, who highlighted the remarkable journey of India’s CIO community and the increasing influence of technology leaders in shaping business strategy and organizational growth.

150+ Senior Leaders Gathered: CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, CDOs and IT Heads from leading enterprises across Eastern India converged at Novotel Kolkata for a day of leadership, learning and recognition.

One of the defining moments of the event was the keynote address delivered by Sourav Das, Group Chief of Digital & IT, Rupa & Co., Event Chairperson and Jury Member, on the theme: “Eastern India 2030: Building an AI-First Economy Through Digital Leadership”
