Strategic Collaboration Agreement to Focus on Accelerating Customer Workload Migrations to the Cloud

MongoDB, the leading modern, general purpose database platform, today announced a significant expansion of a multi-year strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS). Under this six-year agreement, MongoDB and AWS have committed to a broad range of initiatives to make it easier for joint customers to advance their cloud adoption journey, including integrated go-to-market activities across sales and marketing, developer enablement and training through shared developer relations activities, and both technology integrations and commercial incentives to streamline the migration of on-premises workloads to MongoDB Atlas on AWS.

These efforts come on the heels of the recent collaborations announced at AWS re:Invent, including a pay-as-you-go MongoDB Atlas offering on the AWS Marketplace and updates to the AWS Management.

Sachin Chawla, Vice President India and APAC MongoDB, said: “I’ve seen first hand that AWS and MongoDB share an obsession with customer success and technical excellence. Our Application Data Platform is already helping thousands of organisations and tens of thousands of developers across India and APAC, but we’re just scratching the surface. I’m very excited to see this partnership expand in 2022 and have a huge impact in this region.”

Stanley Chan, Head of Technology partners APJ at AWS: “Our collaboration with MongoDB has already seen success in APAC helping some of the best companies in the region transform and grow. From established brands like Bendigo and Adelaide Bank in Australia, to start-up success stories like Ludo King in India, we’ve demonstrated the combined power of AWS and MongoDB’s Application Data Platform. We’re excited to build on our shared obsession for customer success across our enterprise and digital customers in APAC and take this collaboration to the next level.”

MongoDB uses AWS’s global reach and range of services to advance the performance of its database service, and enable customers to store, access, and build applications from anywhere in the world. As part of this collaboration, MongoDB leverages the AWS Marketplace to enable customers to run MongoDB Atlas on AWS and build applications that are highly available, performant at global scale, highly secure, and compliant with privacy standards. MongoDB on AWS works with a wide range of AWS services to enable customers to analyze data with the broadest set of analytical approaches and integrate advanced services in machine learning and Internet of Things.
