India’s Cybersecurity Spending to Reach $3.3 Billion in 2025: Gartner

Cybersecurity

India’s information security spending is expected to grow 16.4% in 2025, reaching $3.3 billion, according to a new Gartner report. The increase is driven by AI adoption, rising cyber threats, stricter regulations, and cloud expansion.

Security services will see the highest growth, rising 19%, as businesses increasingly rely on outsourced cybersecurity expertise due to a shortage of skilled professionals. Spending on network security and security software will also rise by 13.3% and 14.4%, respectively.

Gartner highlights two key cybersecurity trends for 2025:

  1. AI’s Impact on Data Security – Companies will shift focus from structured to unstructured data protection and invest in synthetic data tools for privacy.
  2. Cyber Resilience – Businesses will move from prevention to damage control, prioritizing incident response and storage security.
