NETGEAR Unifies Networking and Security with New PR30SG Cloud-Managed Gateway

NETGEAR

Dual-WAN gateway brings cloud-delivered security, remote provisioning and centralised network management to small businesses and MSP-managed branches.

NETGEAR has introduced the PR30SG, a dual-WAN security gateway designed to help small and midsize enterprises (SMEs), distributed offices and managed service providers (MSPs) manage networking and security through a single cloud platform.

Managed through NETGEAR Insight, the PR30SG extends the company’s cloud-based management capabilities beyond switches and access points to include security. The gateway includes its first year of NETGEAR Exium cloud security, enabling businesses to deploy web filtering, intrusion detection and access controls without managing separate security systems.

“Lean IT teams and branch offices have usually had to choose between an inexpensive router and a security stack they don’t have the budget or staff to run,” said Iphie Chen, Director of Product Management Enterprise at NETGEAR. “The PR30SG gives them cloud-delivered security, managed in Insight alongside their switches and access points.”

“Small businesses need enterprise-grade security without the cost and complexity of managing multiple platforms.”

The gateway supports zero-touch provisioning, allowing businesses and MSPs to configure new sites remotely. Insight’s multi-tenant management capabilities also enable service providers to oversee multiple customer networks from one dashboard, with integrations for tools including ConnectWise, NinjaRMM, Datto and Autotask.

Connectivity features include dual-WAN failover and load balancing, a dedicated 2.5G WAN port, and built-in WireGuard, OpenVPN and IPSec VPN support. Its fanless design and NDAA-compliant hardware are intended to accommodate a range of business environments.

NETGEAR is also offering the same security layer through a licence for existing PR60X gateway customers, allowing them to add protection without replacing hardware.

The PR30SG will be available across Asia-Pacific from November 5, 2026. Each unit includes 90 days of free 24/7 phone support, limited lifetime 24/7 online chat support and a limited lifetime hardware warranty. An optional Overdrive plan provides a two-hour response service-level agreement.
