The recent event in Delhi marked three significant developments in the technology and business community: the launch of the “CIO Gold Book”, reward and recognition of 100 top CIOs with award and the inauguration of the non-profit organization – OTAS.

On June 7th, 2024, Accent Infotech Media successfully hosted its prestigious “CIO 500 Accelerator X Awards” in Delhi. The event took place at the Pullman Novotel in Aerocity and drew a significant crowd of over 200 attendees with 100 CIOs, IT leaders, thought leaders, and innovative product vendors. This gathering was marked by a series of key activities including keynote presentations, panel discussions, and the notable launch of the “CIO Gold Book” and recognition to top 100 CIOs in the region of Delhi NCR for their innovation and performance in the key technology areas.

Sameer Panda, CEO & Founder, TJ Tyres informed the audience about the State of Digital Transformation in Manufacturing followed by keynote on “Securing the Future: Cybersecurity in the era of Digital Transformation” by Rohit Das, Partner – Cyber, Grant Thornton Bharat. Vijayanand Subramanian, COO, TransAsia Soft Tech spoke about “Building Cyber Resilience” while Divya Vora, Head of Investor Relations, Twyn shared insights on “DeepTech Globalization to BigTech Formulation”. Manpreet Singh – Co Founder & Principal Consultant from 5Tattva also shared about the current digitization process and how 5Tattva is helping enterprises in the transformational journey.

The first panel discussion at the CIO 500 Accelerator X Awards in Delhi focused on the strategic adoption of next-generation technologies such as Generative AI (Gen-AI), Automation, and the Internet of Things (IoT) for business growth. The discussion was moderated by Irshad Saifi, Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. The esteemed panelists included Alok Khare, Chief Information Officer at MedTech; Manoj Gupta, Head of IT & IS at Indus Tower; and Rajesh Pandita, CIO at IRSL.

The next panel discussion of the evening was on Data Driven Business Strategy was moderated by: Balaka Baruah Agarwal, Consulting Editor, Enterprise IT World. The panellists included Timothy Jayasingh, General Manager – IT & IS (Global Ops), Leixir Resources, Naresh Kumar Pathak, Senior Digital Transformation Leader & CDO and Shashank Jain, CIO President, Shree Financials.

The final panel discussion of the evening revolved around the evolving and enhanced role of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) in company boards. This discussion underscored the increasing strategic importance of technology leaders in shaping the overall direction and governance of organizations. It was moderated by Ayush Gupta, Partner Digital Strategy and Emerging Technology, KPMG in India while Soumomoy Pal, General Manager Information Technology, Amrutanjan Health Care Ltd., Parna Ghosh, President & Group CIO, Uno Minda and Rajeev Soota, Vice President- IT, Usha International were the panellists.

The Early Bird Lucky Draws was won by Alok Khare, Chief Information Officer, MedTech and Eventus lucky Draw was won by Arun Goyal, CIO, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital The event created history with the industry veterans announcing the setting up of Non-profit OTAS to help bridge the industry skill gap. Speaking on the occasion the president of OTAS and Head of IT, AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr.Susil Kumar Meher outlined the importance of OTAS in engaging the under privileged skilled studies in the state. He was joined by the important members including RP Rath, CTO, RP Rath, CTO, Radical Minds Technologies Pvt Ltd, Subroto Panda, CIO, Anand and Anand, Sushant Sahu, Head IT, Numero Uno Clothing Ltd. Binayak Pradhan, Director -IT, Samsung SDS India, Laxmikanta Das, Head Information Applications, HFCL Ltd. and Sukanta Mohapatra, Director of Engineering, Capgemini.

After exciting the audience of Chennai and Delhi, the event will now be taking place in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata respectively on 21st June, 5 July and 19 July.
