AMD and Rackspace Technology have signed a definitive agreement to deploy an initial 30MW of AMD-powered AI compute capacity across Rackspace’s global data centers between late 2026 and 2028. The collaboration marks a significant step toward building a new category of governed AI infrastructure tailored for regulated and sovereign enterprise environments.
The initiative positions AMD as a strategic technology partner at the silicon layer of Rackspace’s AI stack, combining AMD Instinct GPUs and EPYC CPUs within an integrated enterprise AI cloud architecture. This approach allows workloads to be optimized across compute environments while maintaining accountability for performance and outcomes.
The partnership is designed to address rising demand from industries such as healthcare, where organizations are increasingly seeking secure, high-performance AI infrastructure for applications including clinical analytics and large-scale inference. By integrating compute, operations, and governance into a unified framework, the collaboration aims to simplify deployment and management of enterprise AI workloads.

The agreement also builds on previously announced initiatives, including Enterprise AI Cloud, Inference-as-a-Service, and managed AI platforms, enabling customers to move beyond experimental deployments toward production-scale, agentic AI workflows.
