Databricks has introduced Genie One, a next-generation agentic AI coworker designed to help business teams automate workflows and make data-driven decisions using real-time enterprise data. The launch, announced at the Data + AI Summit 2026, expands Databricks’ Genie suite of AI tools aimed at transforming how organizations interact with data.
At the core of Genie One is the Genie Ontology, a dynamic context layer that continuously learns from enterprise data, documents, applications, and interactions. By grounding AI responses in governed, real-time data rather than fragmented inputs, the platform addresses one of the biggest challenges in enterprise AI lack of reliable context.
Unlike traditional AI tools that rely on incomplete information, Genie One connects structured and unstructured data across multiple systems, including tools like Slack, Google Drive, Jira, and SharePoint. This enables teams in functions such as finance, marketing, and sales to generate accurate insights, automate tasks, and take action directly from a single interface.
“Most enterprise AI today is just guessing with false confidence… Genie Ontology continuously learns context from data everywhere, so our agents deliver faster, more accurate answers,” said Ali Ghodsi, Co-founder and CEO of Databricks.
The platform also introduces Genie Agents and Genie App Builder, allowing organizations to create reusable AI agents and custom applications connected to enterprise data, while ensuring governance through Databricks’ Unity Catalog.
Designed to support both analytics and operational workflows, Genie One enables users to generate reports, monitor performance, schedule tasks, and automate decisions with minimal manual intervention.
With this launch, Databricks is positioning Genie One as more than just an AI assistant—offering a fully integrated, data-aware coworker capable of orchestrating enterprise workflows and driving faster, more accurate business outcomes at scale.
