Amitabh Mishra has joined Energy Giant Vedanta Resources as CDO from his last role as CIO GE Aviation. In his new role, Amitabh will be responsible for leading the digital organization (IT, data/analytics, AI and IoT teams) responsible for devising and executing the digital strategy of three of Vedanta’s businesses with a combined turnover of $4 billion/year.
In his recent role as CIO South Asia for GE Aviation, Amitabh set up the foundation and leadership of the GE Aviation (India) organization. He led a cultural and organizational transformation of the organization, growing by 250%, simplifying reporting structures and establishing agile practices.
In his role at Vedanta, as a member of the executive committee, Amitabh will prioritize specific initiatives that bring about the greatest benefit to business, and staff and execute those initiatives in partnership with IT and digital teams within the company, and with a number of partner organizations.
