Third DSCI Hyderabad Security Conference 2015 Concludes

Recognized widely as an annual confluence of the security community from across Industry sectors to meet amidst the ever changing landscape of security, the Third Hyderabad Security Conference (HSC) 2015 was held on 11 September at Novotel & HICC Complex, Hyderabad.

The conference theme, ‘Making sense of the threat landscape: Securing the Future’, ensured broad sectoral participation from Hyderabad and surrounding areas.

Considered India’s fastest-growing IT hub, Hyderabad has continuously gained in prominence with strong state and industrial support to witness a fast-paced technological progress in multiple sectors other than IT, such as the Pharmaceutical and Entertainment sectors. The conference saw participation by leading industry professionals, innovators, entrepreneurs, officers from law enforcement agencies, academia and policy makers.

On the occasion, Nandkumar Saravade, CEO, DSCI, said “Given the backdrop of ‘Digital India’ with its focus on empowerment, development, growth and governance, the Third Hyderabad Security Conference 2015 helped businesses realize the need for a focused, strategic and structured approach to security challenges, to generate a reassuring vision for the future.”

“Information security continues to pose server problems to enterprises, as seen from cases reported to us. The solutions need to be at individual, enterprise and national levels. Cyber safety for young people needs special focus,” said C .V .Anand, IPS, commissioner of police in his special address.

“Building reliable models of collaboration in cyber security is essential. Telangana police is at the forefront of technology deployment for better citizen services. We welcome DSCI’s contribution for creating more trusted and secured ecosystem in India,” said Anurag Sharma, IPS, DGP, Telangana in the Inaugural Address.

HSC 2015, featured dynamic sessions which reflected topics of deep community interest in a fast-changing threat landscape. With an eminent panels of speakers, the conference successfully garnered rich and varied perspectives on topics ranging from Cyber Warfare to next-gen security architecture. Panel sessions addressed latest trends and opportunities, besides issues and challenges to help delegates map the threat landscape across businesses to better secure their future.
