Partnership combines TCS’s industry expertise with AMD’s high‑performance computing portfolio to drive GenAI innovation across cloud‑to‑edge environments
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and AMD have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at helping global enterprises scale artificial intelligence from pilot projects to full enterprise deployment. Revealed jointly on 14 January 2025 in Mumbai and Santa Clara, the partnership brings together TCS’s deep domain expertise and global innovation ecosystem with AMD’s high‑performance computing and AI‑optimized hardware portfolio.
Under the collaboration, the companies will co‑develop industry‑specific AI and GenAI solutions tailored for sectors including life sciences, manufacturing and BFSI. These solutions will focus on drug discovery acceleration, cognitive quality engineering, smart manufacturing and intelligent risk management. The initiative will also deliver frameworks, accelerators and best‑practice blueprints designed to optimize both AI training and inference workloads.

“AI adoption is accelerating, and unlocking its potential requires a new scale of high‑performance computing and deep collaboration across the industry.”
— Dr. Lisa Su, Chair & CEO, AMD
Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, said the partnership will help enterprises unlock new growth opportunities. “AMD is building the open, end‑to‑end compute foundation that enables AI across the enterprise. Through our work with TCS, we are helping customers translate AI innovation into business impact,” she said.
As part of the collaboration, TCS will rapidly upskill and certify its associates on AMD’s latest CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs and AI accelerators. The companies also plan joint investments in talent development to create a deep pool of AI and HPC specialists capable of co‑innovating next‑generation enterprise solutions.
“Together with AMD, we are enabling enterprises to move from AI experimentation to AI at scale — shaping the next generation of intelligent workplaces.”
— K. Krithivasan, CEO & MD, TCS

K. Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of TCS, said the collaboration strengthens TCS’s commitment to building AI‑led enterprises. “By combining TCS’s deep industry knowledge with AMD’s high‑performance compute leadership, we are enabling organizations to transition from AI experimentation to scaled deployment across hybrid cloud and edge environments,” he said.
The partnership will also see TCS integrate AMD Ryzen™ CPU-powered client solutions to transform digital workplaces, and leverage AMD EPYC™ CPUs, Instinct™ GPUs and embedded computing portfolios to drive modernisation across cloud, edge and high-performance computing environments.
