Amit Jaokar, CDO & CISO, NKGSB BANK joins Sharekhan by BNP Paribas as CISO. Sharekhan is one of the largest Financial Institutions in India and a subsidiary of BNP Paribas since November 2016. It is also an unlisted public company having with 28 lakh+ customers, 130+ branches and more than 3900+ business partners spread across over 670+ locations.
With such a vast customer base, it would an opportunity for Amit to innovate and bring in best of the breed technologies to the company. As a CISO, Amit will be playing a crucial role in establishing and implementing the Security Controls & Solutions to protect the organization against cyber risks and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its assets. He will also take care of various other aspects such as Information Security Audit & Risk Management, IS Audits, etc.
If one reflects upon his illustrious career of over 20 years, he has spearheaded technology teams of various organizations such as NKGSB Bank, Motilal Oswal, Choice International & Bombay Stock Exchange.
He is a seasoned IT professional with a passion to create business opportunities crafted for the “Connected World”. He has demonstrated leadership in Cloud Computing, Mobility, Virtualization, Innovation, Digitization & Information Security. He is focused on solving real “Enterprise” issues with innovative solutions whilst delivering significant & tangible value. As a responsible leader Amit has helped organisations realize significant cost savings by successfully deploying cloud-based solutions to address critical enterprise & business needs. He is responsible for IT Strategy, governance, operations including applications and infrastructure, IS security, IS quality & enterprise mobility.
