Nexans and Ingram Micro Sign Distribution Agreement

Ingram Micro to promote and distribute Nexans wide range of LAN solutions across the Middle East

Nexans has signed a value-added distribution agreement with Ingram Micro for the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Jordan and Yemen. With this agreement, Ingram Micro is authorized to sell and promote Nexans’ entire portfolio of LAN solutions through its wide channel network in these countries.

Nexans selected Ingram Micro, as top global distributor, because of its strong base of system integration channel partners across the region. For Nexans, the ability of a channel partner to sell solutions meeting specific networking requirements of end customers, is key. Another reason for working together with Ingram Micro was its ability to ensure sufficient level of stocks, across the regional distribution of its channel partners.

“End customers in critical infrastructure, large and medium enterprises, public sector, digital businesses, service providers, strategic hubs, are looking at moving to the next level of network performance. With the upcoming roll out of 5G, the number of use-cases and types of use-cases leveraging Internet of Things, Industrial Internet of Things, Smart Cities, Edge Computing, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, amongst others, is going to grow exponentially,” explained Arafat Yousef, Managing Director of Nexans Data Network Solutions (DNS) Business Unit in Middle East and Africa.

In the initial stages we plan to focus on the oil and gas market segments,” added Arafat Yousef.
