Kaspersky and Gabonese Government Signs MoU

Under the MoU with ANINF, Kaspersky Lab will provide the agency with threat intelligence

Kaspersky Lab has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Agency of Digital Infrastructures and Frequencies (ANINF). ANINF is the Gabonese government agency responsible for implementing a digital development strategy in the country. It manages the planning, installation and application of all digital projects, including telecommunications, audiovisual and IT in the Gabonese Republic.

The signing ceremony took place on June 23 in Libreville, Gabon. Alex Bernard Bongo Ondimba, General Director at ANINF and Veniamin Levtsov, Vice-President Enterprise and Presale at Kaspersky Lab, signed the agreement, which brings collaboration to the area of IT security.

Under the MoU with ANINF, Kaspersky Lab will provide the agency with threat intelligence, hold specialist training sessions to share its technical expertise and participate in joint activities.

Following the ceremony, Veniamin Levtsov said: “We at Kaspersky Lab believe that joint efforts are crucial to make the cyberspace safer and we are proud to collaborate with the authorities of many countries around the globe in fighting cybercrime. By signing the memorandum with ANINF, we are delighted to start cooperation with the Gabonese government and are sure it will be mutually beneficial and successful”.

“This partnership is necessary for the Gabonese Republic. Together with Kaspersky Lab, we will have a wealth of cybersecurity expertise. We will work on a beneficial and effective defense system against cybercrime for our country”, said Alex Bernard Bongo Ondimba.
