Gartner names TCS a Leader in Datacenter Outsourcing and Infra Utility

Recognized as a Leader in Datacenter Outsourcing and Infrastructure Utility Services, North America by Gartner

Tata Consultancy Services has been recognized by Gartner as a Leader in its “Magic Quadrant for Data Center Outsourcing and Infrastructure Utility Services, North America” report, by David Edward Ackerman, William Maurer and Christine Tenneson, July 2016.

According to the press release, TCS’ position as a Leader is a result of the active implementation of our cognitive computing solution, ignio, as a cloud-based SaaS model, resulting in productivity improvement in labor requirements as well as exponentially improving the business process efficiency. In addition, TCS has invested significantly in datacenter space in Canada, provided effective offerings in hybrid cloud and offered cost-effective and flexible solutions to meet clients needs.

Gartner evaluated the abilities of 19 providers, including TCS, who deliver DCO/IUS worth more than $16 billion in annual revenue. Gartner analysts noted that providers designated as Leaders perform skillfully, have a clear vision of the market’s direction, develop competencies to maintain their leadership and they shape the market rather than follow it.

PR Krishnan, Senior Vice President and Global Head, IT Infrastructure Services, TCS said, “The digitization of business and the changing nature of work now demand the re-imagination of Agile Computing technologies that live up to the expectation of customer and improve their business metrics. Our Agile Computing Services offerings address this demand across the globe, and TCS continues to invest in technologies requiring management of the Hybrid IT ecosystem such as Cloud and neural automation, helping customers seamlessly undergo digital transformation. We are pleased to be recognized as a Leader by Gartner in their extensive assessment of the Datacenter Outsourcing and Infrastructure Utility Services Providers in the North American market.”
