Saviynt has announced the appointment of Tim Wedande as Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, reinforcing its commitment to expanding regional customer engagement and strengthening its technical leadership.
Based in Melbourne, Wedande will lead Saviynt’s regional technology strategy while supporting strategic customer engagements and advising enterprises on complex identity security transformations. In his new role, he will work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to accelerate adoption of Saviynt’s Identity Cloud and drive measurable business outcomes across the APJ region.
Wedande brings over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, with deep expertise in security advisory and enterprise digital transformation. Prior to joining Saviynt, he served as a Partner at EY, where he worked with global organisations across regulated industries to design scalable and resilient identity frameworks. His experience in aligning cybersecurity strategies with business growth is expected to play a key role in advancing Saviynt’s regional footprint.
“Having worked closely with customers and teams across Saviynt, I’ve seen firsthand how central identity has become to business resilience and growth. As organisations across APJ accelerate digital and AI-led transformation, there is a clear opportunity to modernise identity as a strategic control plane.”
— Tim Wedande, Field CTO, APJ, Saviynt
Saviynt highlighted that the APJ region represents a rapidly evolving market, where organisations are increasingly prioritising identity as a foundational element of their security strategy. With the rise of hybrid work models, cloud-first initiatives, and AI-driven innovation, demand for robust identity and access management (IAM) solutions continues to grow significantly. Industry projections suggest that the APJ IAM market is set to expand substantially by 2030, driven by digital transformation, regulatory compliance requirements, and escalating cybersecurity risks.
Commenting on the appointment, Alex Lei, Senior Vice President for APJ at Saviynt, noted that Wedande’s customer-first approach and consulting expertise would enhance the company’s ability to support enterprises in unlocking the full value of identity security.
The appointment underscores Saviynt’s focus on helping organisations modernise identity as a strategic control layer enabling stronger security, improved operational efficiency, and accelerated innovation. As enterprises navigate increasingly complex digital ecosystems, Saviynt aims to position identity at the core of business resilience and growth across the region.
