When it comes to SMB packages, i.e., our business packages, we have designed a structure to allow the business customise storage space.

Mr. ABhijit Ray, CTO, DigiBoxx

Are cloud data storage services considered secure? What challenges were encountered during the creation of this product?

Absolutely. Cloud data storage services are fully secure, right from the source to the destination. At DigiBoxx, all communications use 256 bit end-to-end encryption, all the way, from your computer to our servers. There are many challenges when one builds a product. In this case, securing the product is notable. We have experts who spend considerable amount of time to try and break in just to see how resilient our barriers are. We also employ multiple hurdles to keep snoopers away.

What sets DigiBoxx apart from other brands in the market? How secure is DigiBoxx?

DigiBoxx is a make-in-India product that offers cloud storage with all the necessary bells and whistles at the most affordable price today. We offer packages with various storage capacities, starting from 100 GB to 2TB for individuals. For SMBs it is from 500GB to 25TB. The SMB packages come with a preset number of users a business can incorporate into the account, and the number of users allowed per account is very generous. Normally other storage companies charge by the number of users and the corporate buying ends up paying quite a hefty amount. We brought a more efficient and affordable way to store.

Also, we have a very strong feedback loop with our customers and are working at an immense pace bringing what they want, so quickly. We have improvements going out the door every fortnight to cater to the growing needs of our customers.

About security, I believe I have already answered it earlier.

What technologies were employed during the development of DigiBoxx?

There have been many technologies at play here. We use PHP, Angular, JavaScript, Python and Go Lang, just to name the main ones.

In comparison to other brands, what unique features does DigiBoxx offer and how do these features benefit its users, including individuals, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs/MSMEs), and corporations?

When you ask about unique features, we’ve got DigiFotos for individuals. One does not need to manually synchronise their photographs and videos between their phones and their DigiBoxx accounts on the cloud. You just need to switch it on from your Android or iOS app. Imagine, you never having to worry about losing your memories if your phone breaks down, gets lost or stolen.

When it comes to SMB packages, i.e., our business packages, we have designed a structure to allow the business customise storage space. The structure can be made to resemble various departments of the business, where control can be decentralised and be given to the departments. The space allocation to different users can vary, as per the business’ need. Also, there is a workflow to allow certain files to be stored for the organisation via an approval so that those files can be accessed and reused by authorised individuals.

Does DigiBoxx provide support for multiple platforms?

Oh yes, we do. Right now, DigiBoxx supports access from any browser and on Android and iOS phones. We are also on Jio set top boxes (STB). Soon DigiBoxx will expand on to various other popular platforms.

To stay up-to-date with emerging trends, what other innovations can we expect from DigiBoxx in the near future?

We have quite a list. We are working with a partner to allow users to integrate all their cloud accounts with DigiBoxx. Soon, we are coming out with our Desktop app. This is a much-awaited feature. We are also working on new kinds of integrations with browsers. Just keep following us and you’ll find out.
