Cirrus launches in India to offer greater Veeam-powered data protection for businesses using Microsoft 365

Cirrus

Global Software-As-A-Service company, CT4, announced its data protection software Cirrus Backup is available for Indian businesses running Microsoft 365. A comprehensive data protection solution built on Veeam® Software, the leader in backup, recovery and data management solutions that deliver Modern Data Protection, Cirrus automates cloud backup of all Microsoft 365 and makes it available for rapid restore.

With the number of cyberattacks on the rise, and millions of Indian businesses using Microsoft 365, there is a huge risk to business operations and future economic performance if data is not backed up and secured appropriately.

While Microsoft manages the infrastructure for Microsoft 365 users, it does not backup the data – this is down to the business itself. Cirrus gives an intuitive and easy way to protect all Microsoft 365 data – it assures compliance with data retention requirements, mitigates ransomware and malware threats, and eliminates accidental deletion or data corruption.

Dan Pearson Chief Technology Officer, CT4, said, “We have been working with Veeam at a local and global level to ensure Cirrus offers the highest levels of data protection for India’s millions of Microsoft 365 users’’.

“With Veeam as our partner, our goal is to make it as easy as possible for all businesses – no matter the level of IT skills or size – to be able to protect their business-critical data. Today we are focused on Microsoft 365 users, but in the future, we plan to evolve Cirrus to provide greater data protection across more technologies and platforms “

A comprehensive data protection solution built on Veeam-powered modern data protection, Cirrus automatically backs up data residing in the cloud and enables it to be quickly and easily restored. Downtime is kept to a minimum, giving organizations complete peace of mind that they will face marginal disruption in the event of an attack or disaster.

“Within all SaaS platforms, including Microsoft 365, each organization owns and controls their own data, and it’s the organization’s responsibility to protect it,” said Sandeep Bhambure, Vice President, India & SAARC, Veeam. “As the Microsoft 365 backup market leader, with over 11M users under paid contract, Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 experienced 73% YoY growth in FY21. That growth and momentum is strong indication that organizations are realizing the importance of managing and securing their data, and consistently trust Veeam with critical business assets. We’re looking forward to collaborating with CT4 to deliver reliable data protection to enterprises in India and in turn, increase time savings for IT departments and additional cost savings as a result of more efficient backups.”

As part of CT4’s launch into India, Malay Davda has joined the company as Partner Account Manager to help drive customer growth and support. Davda joins CT4 from Bureau Vertias India and brings 17 years of experience in the Telecommunications, Technology and Education sector.

“I am thrilled to be joining CT4 at this key moment for the company as we look to grow our support for customers across India,” said Davda. “It doesn’t matter the size of business, or what industry you work in, if you are using Microsoft 365 and don’t have data protection in place, we are here to help.”
