BPE Goes Global

Expands Presence in ASEAN Countries with Premium Power Solutions with ‘Made in India’ Edge and holds partner meets in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

India’s own power solution company and a classic case of Make in India, Best Power Equipments (BPE) has expanded its presence into the ASEAN region, especially in Vietnam. In a recent discussion with Enterprise IT World Magazine’s Group Editor Amitansu Satpathy, Group Managing Director, BPE, shared his vision and the brand’s remarkable progress and strategic foothold in these burgeoning markets.

Power solution is definitely the backbone of any economy. Who controls power wins the game. Today’s market is completely IT driven. Every organization is becoming IT – led organization. In order to power the IT equipment – whether it is in the Data Centre or workspace, power defines efficiency at the core. Therefore, this market is dominated by either European companies or US companies globally and also in India.

“With our focus on quality, competitive pricing, technological innovation, and robust local partnerships, BPE is well-positioned to strengthen its influence across ASEAN. Our ‘Made in India’ approach demonstrates our commitment to global standards. To succeed globally, you need a clear vision.”

Amitansu Satpathy, Group Managing Director of BPE.

But in India, things are gradually changing owning to the bold call from our own Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He cherishes a vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and asks the business houses to develop products for India and for the global market.

BPE story is much before the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat.  Amitansu Satpathy started BPE two decades back in India and now under “Made in India” initiative or “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, he has started looking beyond India. He has expanded to Middle East and now to ASEAN countries – specially to Vietnam. He is one of those few entrepreneurs who has redefined brand India and changed the perception among the global customers.

Sharing his experience about Vietnam initiative, Satpathy said “We’ve witnessed incredible acceptance of BPE products in Vietnam, reflecting the strength of ‘Made in India. The superior quality and value we deliver resonates strongly in Vietnam and other ASEAN markets, affirming our position as a key player in the region.”

Principally, power or UPS market is defined in two segments globally, so also in ASEAN region. The top tier is dominated by premium European and American brands with high-end offerings, while the lower tier comprises offer budget – friendly products with moderate quality, certifications and a project-centric focus. BPE chooses to be in a strategic middle ground, providing certified, high-quality solutions at a competitive price. This enables the company to deliver substantial value, meeting quality standards while offering an attractive commercial proposition.

His entry into ASEAN market is a very wise move as he identifies early that there is an under pinned resentment about Chinese products and growing affinity towards Indian products. He added, “This has enhanced interest in ‘Made in India’ offerings in Vietnam. BPE has capitalized on this trend, particularly in Vietnam, where our quality-driven, Indian-manufactured solutions have been well-received.”

Now since BPE is already there in Vietnam. Satpathy wants to make it big. He already has a distributor in Vietnam and started engaging the channel partners in various cities. Recent one is the company engaged partners in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Satpathy added, ” CTO of our distributor, Kenny, recently engaged partners in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, underlining our goal of reaching $2 million in sales with our diverse product lineup. We’ve already made notable strides, such as delivering multiple 6kVA units for a Treasury project for the Government of Vietnam. This success has significantly boosted our partners’ confidence in BPE’s ability to secure large-scale tenders.”

Finally…

BPE products are increasingly gaining traction across ASEAN region. For instance, in Singapore, the company is supporting critical infrastructure for Singapore Airlines, where they have installed 150kVA UPS units with lithium batteries and a Smart Rack solution for critical servers. These implementations underline BPE’s capability as a dependable brand supporting major IT projects. Satpathy concludes, “We are optimistic about deepening our reach in the region, consistently providing reliable, high-quality solutions tailored to local needs.”
