Avnet Introduces Product Design TaaS in India

Offers new product design testing as a service which allows customers to test their product designs at Avnet Design Center

Avnet has announced a new service for product design testing in India. In addition to design support on full turnkey solutions, reference design, evaluation boards and software support, the new service known as testing as a Service (TaaS) allows customers to test their product designs at Avnet Design Center.

According to the release, Avnet’s Testing as a Service combines its engineering expertise with end-to-end test environment that complement its design chain capabilities. Avnet maintains one of the highest ratios in the industry for field application engineer to field sales engineer. The high ratio demonstrates superior engineering support to OEM customers and demand creation capability for suppliers’ products. The new service is currently exclusive to India market.

Avnet Design Center provides design and support services such as system design consultation, technology and component selection, schematic and layout design and review, firmware development, RF circuit/antenna optimization and calibration, turnkey design development, final design testing and verification and BOM Optimization, the release said.

Ramani Sundaresan, MD of India, Avnet Electronics Marketing said, “Customers can now test their product designs at Avnet Design Center, and in addition to that, our experienced engineers are onsite to offer technical advice and design support, helping them in accelerating the design cycle and getting their products to markets faster. Compared to stand-alone testing facilities that are typically pay-per-use where customers can only test their products, Avnet’s new testing service improves customer’s convenience and cost savings by helping them reduce the number of design iterations and the product certifying process at the authorized labs.”
