Hitachi Vantara Enhances EverFlex with Outcome-Based SLAs and Flexible Consumption Models

New capabilities help enterprises improve cost predictability, simplify infrastructure management, and accelerate hybrid cloud modernization

Hitachi Vantara has expanded its EverFlex portfolio with new outcome-based service-level agreements (SLAs) and simplified consumption models aimed at helping organizations modernize infrastructure while gaining greater control over costs, scalability, and operational efficiency.

The enhancements come as enterprises increasingly move away from large upfront infrastructure investments in favor of flexible, consumption-based models. The shift is being driven by growing AI workloads, rapidly expanding data volumes, and the need for predictable IT operations across hybrid cloud environments.

The updated EverFlex offering provides organizations with multiple infrastructure acquisition options, including purchase, lease, usage-based subscription, and fully managed infrastructure-as-a-service models. The company said the expanded capabilities are designed to align infrastructure spending with actual business requirements while reducing complexity in deployment and management.

“Rather than a rip-and-replace approach, which can be time consuming and expensive, Hitachi EverFlex addresses today’s infrastructure challenges through new SLAs and flexible acquisition models that help organizations optimize CapEx and OpEx budgets, ensure continuous availability, and maintain the performance required for mission-critical workloads.”

A major highlight of the announcement is the introduction of new contractual SLAs that provide defined outcomes across critical operational areas such as availability, performance, optimization, and recovery. These guarantees are intended to support mission-critical workloads while improving confidence in service delivery and operational continuity.

The company has also introduced standardized consumption and expansion models that enable customers to pay only for the infrastructure they need. The approach offers greater flexibility through both CapEx and OpEx options, helping organizations improve financial predictability and optimize procurement strategies.

In addition, Hitachi Vantara has enhanced operational visibility through VSP 360, a unified control plane that enables organizations to monitor infrastructure usage, track SLA compliance, and gain deeper insights across hybrid environments.

“Data volumes are accelerating, cyber threats are increasing, and regulatory requirements around data sovereignty and compliance are becoming stricter,” said Jeb Horton, Senior Vice President of Global Services at Hitachi Vantara. “Organizations need flexible infrastructure models that deliver predictable outcomes while reducing operational burdens.”

The company said the enhanced EverFlex platform is designed to support a wide range of enterprise use cases, including hybrid cloud modernization and AI-driven applications, enabling organizations to scale resources efficiently while improving utilization and accelerating time-to-value.
