Company to deploy Automated Fare Collection systems for Bhopal and Indore Metro projects under ₹150 crore multi-year contract

Aurionpro Solutions Limited has secured another significant order from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC), reinforcing its leadership in India’s rapidly evolving smart mobility and urban transit ecosystem. The company will implement Automated Fare Collection (AFC) systems for the upcoming Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail projects, under a multi-year contract valued at approximately ₹150 crore.

The project is part of DMRC’s collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) to deploy standardized and interoperable fare collection systems across new metro networks in the state. Aurionpro’s scope of work includes the supply, implementation, and long-term maintenance of advanced AFC solutions, covering end-to-end deployment followed by five years of comprehensive support and services.

“This engagement reinforces our growing presence across India’s metro rail ecosystem and our position as a preferred smart mobility partner,” — Sanjay Bali, President – Tech Innovation Group, Aurionpro

Under the contract, Aurionpro will roll out open-loop EMV card- and QR-code-based ticketing solutions, designed to enhance commuter convenience while improving operational efficiency for metro operators. The AFC systems are aligned with global payment standards and, in the Indian context, comply fully with National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) norms, ensuring seamless and future-ready transit experiences.

Aurionpro’s fare collection solutions are built on both open-loop and closed-loop EMV architectures, enabling interoperability across transport modes and payment platforms. The company’s integrated in-house design and manufacturing capabilities further differentiate its offerings, allowing it to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that are designed and made in India, while meeting global compliance benchmarks.

According to Sanjay Bali, President – Tech Innovation Group (TIG), the win reflects DMRC’s continued confidence in Aurionpro’s capabilities and execution strength. He noted that the engagement adds to the company’s growing portfolio of metro rail projects and underscores its ability to deliver high-performance ticketing systems that improve passenger experience, speed, and convenience.

With a strong track record across multiple metro implementations, Aurionpro continues to expand its footprint across India’s urban transit infrastructure. The latest order further strengthens its position in the smart mobility space and places the company well to capitalise on emerging opportunities as metro rail projects accelerate across the country.
