Industry veteran to lead one of HPE’s most strategic global markets

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has  appointed Bhawna Agarwal as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for India, effective immediately. She succeeds Som Satsangi, a stalwart who retires after 27 years of transformative leadership at HPE. Som will remain with the company until July 2025 to support a seamless transition.

Bhawna will now lead operations for HPE in India, a high-priority market for the company. Reporting directly to Heiko Meyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, she will focus on expanding HPE’s innovation footprint and customer engagement across sectors.

“I look forward to scaling our impact and innovation in the region, and delivering exceptional value to customers and partners.”

— Bhawna Agarwal, SVP & MD, HPE India

Bhawna joined HPE in 2019 and most recently led Account Management and Industry Verticals. A seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience across digital startups, media, and enterprise tech, she has been instrumental in driving HPE’s growth and go-to-market strategies.

Her appointment comes at a time when HPE is deepening its commitment to India through initiatives like the recent rollout of its 6001st ‘Made in India’ server under the government’s Make in India program.

“Bhawna brings a growth mindset, customer-first thinking, and purpose-driven leadership,” said Heiko Meyer. “We are confident she will build on the strong foundation laid by Som.”

As MD, Bhawna is expected to steer HPE India into its next phase of innovation-led growth and digital transformation, with a renewed focus on hybrid cloud, AI, and data-first modernization.
