Challenges faced by Medica

Medica required a single service provider to take care of all its ICT needs, across India. It required a single number for customers to get in touch with them, through a varied set of ‘Vanity Numbers’ across services like Ambulance service (KARMA), Rural Hospitality, Doctor to home etc. A holistic integrated approach was required to take care of these needs. The hospital also required their employees to be covered through wireless voice and data, wired internet and fixed wireless terminals.

Solutions offered by TDBS

Being a large hospital with multiple locations, the Hospital continually strives to deliver best in class customer service. For this, dependable Primary Rate Interface (PRI) voice connectivity was selected with each connection delivering 30 channels providing voice services. Also, each channel would be configurable as incoming, outgoing or two-way. To ensure efficiencies, Medica was provided a Closed User Group plan covering Mobile, Photon, and Walky and for Internet services. A comprehensive connectivity solution was provided to the hospital covering wireless and wired voice and data, so employees, stakeholders and patients could effectively collaborate and communicate.

TDBS provided Medica with a reliable holistic connectivity solution PRI with multiple DIDs and ‘Vanity Numbers’ for special projects were provided. PRI was selected as the ideal voice service, as a variety special numbers ensured the hospital’s individual services were individually identifiable to audiences.  Internet Leased Line (ILL) with latency commitment, 99.5% Service Level Agreement (SLA), and packet loss of less than 1% was selected as the ideal data connectivity solution for dedicated and symmetric bandwidth. This helped in delivering same upload & download speeds, and high-speed communication via the internet. The solution was extended to multiple hospital locations across Ranchi, Patna, Jameshedpur, Kalinganagar and Siliguri.

Outcome

Medica now manages its operations efficiently by employing an accessible workforce model.
