“Drive for Digital Transformation”: A CIO Golf for the transformational CIOs

It is about connecting the CIOs in the region and enjoying time with the peers.

One of the unique events in the Delhi NCR region, the CIO family Golf under the theme of “Drive for Digital Transformation” was organized at the lush green Golf course of the Karma Lakelands, Gurugram, Haryana.

One of the unique events in the Delhi NCR region, the CIO family Golf under the theme of “Drive for Digital Transformation” was organized at the lush green Golf course of the Karma Lakelands, Gurugram, Haryana.

Organized by Progression Infonet and supported by VMWare, CIOs of India  and Enterprise IT World Magazine, the event started early morning on 8th April. Near about forty CIOs along with their families from Delhi NCR converged at the venue at 8 am in the morning. After some light refreshments, the CIOs who were pro went on to hit the turf with their clubs whereas the other CIOs, who were amateur got engaged at the golf clinic along with the spouse and kids.

Besides, the family members also enjoyed, the amenities like swimming pool, squash, etc., which was followed by a sumptuous lunch.

The event spanned for eight hours from morning till the dusk and the CIOs were treated with not only the game of Golf but also a technology update by VMWare.

In the end, there were awards for the performing CIOs and their families including kids for their performance in Golf. If that was not enough, professional and experienced golf trainers also hit the stage to impart lessons around how to play better golf.

Some of the senior CIOs including Parna Ghosh, Mohammad Wasim and Annie Mathew also were invited to the stage to narrate their experience with digital transformation and infrastructure modernization. They had not only discussed about their own challenges but also taken questions from the other CIOs.

Sunil Sirohi, giving vote of thanks, appreciated the enthusiasm of the CIOs for their golfing skills and their interest in the technology sessions. Thanking all the CIOs attended the event, he said, “it is always good to have the CIOs spare time for their recreation and nothing is better than a game of golf which teaches individuals about some of the skillsets which help them in their professional life.”

In the end, JB Hooda, Director & MD, Progression, appreciated the CIOs for their time and efforts for supporting in large number to the event.
