Touchscreen Module Market to be Worth $9 billion by 2015

ViewSonic Corp has ensured the abundant supply of its 23” Windows 8 certified 10-Point Touch Display – the TD2340. The touchscreen market is expected to reach 14% growth by 2015 revealed in a recent analysis report.

The report also disclosed the total touchscreen module market will grow to Rs.45, 556.25 crore ($9billion) by 2015, from Rs.18,222.50 crore ($3.6billion) in 2008, with a CAGR of 14 per cent. Keeping this in mind, ViewSonic players in premiere LCD touchscreen technology are working towards making their premiere products available in cars, homes and offices in India.

Girish Mamtani, Country Manager, ViewSonic India, said, “We have ensured the ample supply of our TD2340, Windows 8 certified 10-Point Touch Display in India because we can see that touchscreens are becoming widespread due to the ease of use and intuitive interfaces they enable, which can save time and increase productivity. Over the next several years, touchscreens will undergo strong growth in large-size applications, such as retail, ticketing, point of information and education/training.”

The TD2340 features a IPS panel with 1920×1080 full HD resolution and a 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Connectivity inputs include displayPort, HDMI and VGA, along with full USB HID compliance and VESA mount compatibility. It also features integrated SRS Premium Sound speakers and Energy Star and EPEAT Silver certifications.
