Syncplicity Announces Comprehensive Security Model

Global Enterprises Trust New Security Model to Reduce Risk and Ensure Compliance

Syncplicity unveiled comprehensive security model to support global enterprises in transforming their IT strategies to create modern digital workplaces. The model centers around features that give IT maximum flexibility, visibility and control, enable secure file sync and share for business users, and make it easy for customers to meet data sovereignty and governance standards.

“In today’s environment with regular data breaches and constantly changing security regulations, global enterprises need partners they can trust to provide them with the tools they need to share and collaborate on data and work toward full digital transformation,” said Syncplicity CEO Jon Huberman. “No other vendor provides the depth and breadth of security features and expertise to deliver risk reduction and information governance both globally and locally. This new approach to security sets us up to lead the industry toward secure collaboration and define the workplace of the future.”

Syncplicity’s comprehensive security model provides a flexible solution for risk reduction and information governance where customers can customize their settings to meet their unique needs, while maintaining security and usability.

Syncplicity’s policy-driven hybrid cloud offers flexibility to keep confidential data on-premises or in private clouds, while allowing less sensitive files to reside in a public cloud, without compromising on a seamless user experience. Syncplicity gives enterprises the control to define storage location based on users’ business roles, national residence and/or sensitivity of data.

Syncplicity offers more than 30 granular security controls through group policies, enabling secure deployments at scale for large enterprises with complex environments. Customers can import data from Active Directory groups to implement role-based access control, set higher security for sensitive business groups such as executives or engineering than more open departments like marketing that collaborate internally and externally.

“Syncplicity’s comprehensive approach to security and data protection make it a well-suited solution for large enterprises around the globe,” said ESG Senior Analyst Terri McClure. “Especially with the ever-changing regulatory landscape, the amount of flexibility and control regarding where data resides and who can access it, combined with the expertise Syncplicity provides as a mature vendor in this space, is impressive, and it’s one of the reasons we’re continuing to see the company win large deployments and market share.”
