A Celebration of Technology Leadership, Innovation, and Business Transformation
The Sophos presents CIO500 & Accelerator X Awards 2025 – Ahmedabad Edition, held on 13 August 2025 at DoubleTree by Hilton, concluded on a high note, celebrating the achievements of Gujarat’s most visionary CIOs and IT leaders. Organized by Enterprise IT World, the event was a power-packed evening of learning, networking, and recognition, bringing together industry stalwarts from diverse sectors including manufacturing, energy, healthcare, and IT services.
Welcoming delegates, Sanjay Mohapatra, Editor of Enterprise IT World, highlighted the event’s mission:

The evening began with a networking high tea, followed by an insightful keynote from Akash Sureka, Founder, TheNoah.ai, on how AI has moved beyond the hype into mainstream transformation. Sunny Vaghela, Founder & CEO, Techdefence, further enriched the discourse with a presentation on cybersecurity imperatives for modern enterprises.
The first panel discussion, moderated by Saumil Shah, Partner – Operations Transformation, Grant Thornton Bharat, explored “Balancing Innovation with Cost Control”, featuring perspectives from technology heads of Sabardairy (Amul Group), Gujarat Gas, Shivaami, Stovec Industries, and Eris Lifesciences.
The event featured a series of high-impact presentations, including Biren Parikh, Group CIO, Symphony Limited, on legacy system modernization challenges, and Jiten Motwani, Director BD – SOC, Eventus, along with sessions from Redington, Rubik Infotech, Pagentra Infosec, and Ctrl S.
The highlight was a keynote by Sunil Sharma, Managing Director – Sales (India & SAARC), Sophos, underscoring the importance of integrated cybersecurity strategies in an AI-driven world.
A second panel discussion, “Navigating Boardroom Expectations and Digital KPIs”, moderated by Sandeep Shah, Partner – Technology & ERP, Nimbus Technologies, brought valuable board-level perspectives from leaders at Torrent Power, Aculife Healthcare, Adani Green Energy, Grant Thornton Bharat, and Motadata.
The evening culminated with the CIO Accelerator X Awards 2025 ceremony, recognizing outstanding CIOs who have been instrumental in driving modernization and business transformation in their organizations over the past year. The celebrations closed with a group photo, a mesmerizing musical performance by Kirti Mishra, and a gala dinner.
With Ahmedabad marking another milestone in the 10-city journey of the CIO500 & Accelerator X Awards 2025, the series now moves forward to Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Cochin, and Coimbatore, continuing its mission to reconnect the best technology minds in India.
