Quick Heal Duped to the Tune of Rs. 1.24 Crore

Terminates and ensues strict legal action against former employee Pradeep Dixit for unethical practices

IT security solutions firm Quick Heal clarified that the company’s management has taken a conscious decision of terminating the employment Pradeep Dixit (41) on the basis of gross violation of company policies, willfully concealing facts relating to material, operational, and financial improprieties at the Company’s Pune, branch and damaging the company’s reputation and violating ethical and moral codes on which all Quick Heal’s business practices are constructed.

Dixit utilized his position at Quick Heal to personally become financially involved in another business calling for unethical conduct and creating misplaced loyalties announced the press release.

After a thorough investigation, the company said, the termination was considered on the following grounds: utilizing the employee’s position at Quick Heal to personally become financially involved in another business; Gross violation of Company policies; damaging the Company’s reputation; violation of ethical and moral codes of Quick Heal’s business practices; inappropriate use/misuse of company resources.

The investigation was carried out by independent legal counsel. This was followed by strict legal action, the details of which have been discussed in the news attachments herein.

Dixit has been arrested under sections 408 (criminal breach of trust by clerk or servant and 420 (cheating) of Indian Penal Code. Dixit, a resident of Dorabjee Paradise society on NIBM road at Wanawadi, Pune was a general manager with the company.

According to the complaint lodged against Dixit at the Vishrambaug police, he had started Mind Flash Infotech Pvt. Ltd. and Yanava at Tilak Road and picked them as merchandisers. The firms were registered in the names of his wife and other relatives. Misusing the position Quick Heal, Dixit has allegedly duped Rs. 1.24 crore.
