NTT DATA Unveils Six AI-Powered Cyber Defense Centers to Strengthen Global Cyber Resilience

NTT DATA

A new era of autonomous, AI-driven SecOps as enterprises face increasingly sophisticated, AI-enabled threats.

NTT DATA has announced a major expansion of its global cyber defense footprint with the launch of four next-generation Cyber Defense Centers in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Noida and Mumbai, and two more scheduled to open in Birmingham and Dallas over the next 12 months. The move positions the company at the forefront of autonomous, AI-powered security operations as enterprises worldwide confront a rapidly evolving threat landscape.

The new Cyber Defense Centers are purpose-built for the AI era, combining agentic AI, GenAI-driven orchestration and hyper-automation to accelerate response times and reduce operational load. According to the company, the centers can reduce alert volumes by up to 90% while enabling investigations that are up to 60% faster—critical capabilities at a time when attackers are leveraging automation and AI to scale their operations.

“Our clients’ innovation is accelerating, and cybersecurity must match that speed.” — Charlie Li

The centers integrate human expertise with autonomous AI agents capable of triaging, analyzing and hunting threats in real time. This frees analysts to focus on high-value activities such as containment, digital forensics and recovery. Offering a full range of cybersecurity services—from MDR and threat intelligence to cloud and OT security—the facilities add capacity for over 800 analysts to support 1,200+ global clients around the clock.

Commenting on the expansion, Charlie Li, Head of Cloud and Security Services at NTT DATA, said the rollout is designed to help clients secure their increasingly cloud-first and AI-driven environments at scale. The centers are also deeply aligned with regional regulatory requirements, ensuring clients can meet evolving data privacy and AI governance standards.

“Global insight and local expertise are now non-negotiable for resilience.” — Sheetal Mehta

The company’s global yet locally embedded approach is further reinforced by collaboration with national cybersecurity agencies, CERTs and regulatory bodies. Sheetal Mehta, Head of Cybersecurity at NTT DATA, noted that these “glocal” capabilities are essential for sustaining trust and maintaining resilience as threats grow more dynamic and autonomous.

With additional Cyber Defense Centers set to open in the UK and USA, NTT DATA is building a globally interconnected security network that blends advanced AI capabilities with regional context—enabling organisations to modernise securely while accelerating digital transformation.
