Microchip’s Development Tools Sales Cross 2 Million

Celebrates shipping two million development tools with continued growth and expansion of award-winning line of development tools

Microchip Technology has announced that the company has shipped its two millionth development tool. Microchip’s line of development tools has continued to grow and expand, including the free and award-winning MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment (IDE), free and optimizing MPLAB XC Compilers and the popular low-cost PICkit 3 and MPLAB ICD 3 In-Circuit Debuggers. Microchip’s vast selection of development tools can support nearly any embedded design application using our microcontroller, digital signal controller or analog components.

In celebration of this milestone, Microchip is offering 20% off all core development tools until the end of June. This promotion will include some of Microchip’s most popular development tools, including the PICkit 3 In-Circuit Debugger, MPLAB ICD 3 In-Circuit Debugger, and MPLAB REAL ICE In-Circuit Emulator, as well as all MPLAB XC PRO Compiler workstation licenses and the MPLAB REAL ICE Power Monitor board, said the release.
