MapR Hadoop Training Exceeds 10,000 Registrants

New Apache HBase and Apache Drill courses being added to expand free training offerings

MapR Technologies, Inc announced its newly available free Hadoop On-Demand Training program has enrolled more than 10,000 registrants worldwide in its first 30 days, signalling strong interest in Hadoop skills training. MapR is also expanding its course curriculum with the addition of new courses covering Apache HBase and Apache Drill.

According to Shankar Murukutla, Sales Director, South Asia and India, MapR Technologies, “MapR is committed to wider acceptance of Hadoop in India and assisting software professionals with their career progression. Big Data Analytics is a great choice to boost one’s career and MapR is supporting the community with an in-kind contribution exceeding $ 50 million.”

New this month, MapR is adding to its curriculum with courses covering Apache HBase and Apache Drill. Curriculum includes data modeling and schema design, as well as use-case-driven learning for data analysts in Drill. These courses include:

HBase Schema Design – This course caters to data analysts, DBAs and developers and covers schema design, performance tuning, bulk-loading of data, and the storing of complex data structures.
