IBM, TCS, and Andhra Pradesh join forces to build 156-qubit-powered innovation hub in Amaravati to lead India’s quantum future
In a landmark development for India’s deep tech ambitions, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and IBM are partnering with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to deploy the country’s most powerful quantum computer at India’s first Quantum Valley Tech Park in Amaravati. The hub will feature an IBM Quantum System Two powered by a 156-qubit Heron processor, the most advanced of its kind in India.

The initiative is a major leap under India’s National Quantum Mission and is aimed at making the country a global powerhouse in quantum computing. TCS will work closely with IBM to develop cutting-edge quantum algorithms and industrial applications for Indian academia and enterprises.
This public-private partnership is poised to foster a vibrant quantum ecosystem, attract global investments, and create high-end jobs, putting India at the forefront of the global quantum race.
