Real-time aerial intelligence enables safe evacuation of villagers and guides herd back to forest without confrontation

ideaForge Technology Limited, India’s leading UAV technology company, has successfully deployed its advanced Q6V2 UAV to support forest officials in averting a potential human-elephant conflict in the Silli region of Jharkhand. The operation was carried out in collaboration with its channel partner Sathi Planners Pvt. Ltd. (SPPL) under the leadership of the Divisional Forest Officer, Ranchi.

The incident occurred when a herd of elephants strayed into nearby villages, creating panic among residents. Equipped with daylight and night vision payloads, the Q6V2 UAV enabled continuous monitoring of the herd’s movements across dense forest cover and village boundaries. High-definition optical and thermal visuals were streamed in real time, providing forest authorities with geo-tagged situational awareness, even in low-light and rainy conditions.

“Our UAV provided forest officials with the speed, accuracy, and intelligence needed to protect both villagers and wildlife, while ensuring zero disturbance to the animals.”

Armed with this intelligence, officials were able to alert villagers, ensure safe evacuations, and guide the elephants back to their natural habitat without confrontation. The UAV’s silent operations and long endurance ensured uninterrupted coverage, enabling coordinated action that averted casualties among both humans and wildlife.

The deployment highlights the growing role of drone-enabled intelligence in wildlife and forest management. Traditional monitoring methods often struggle with terrain, visibility, and response time, whereas UAVs like the Q6V2 bridge these gaps effectively, reinforcing conservation efforts and safeguarding communities.
