Hafele India Embraces Qlik

The home furnishings manufacturer adopts Qlik’s visual analytics platform to accelerate efficiency and access to information

Hafele, the international manufacturer and supplier of furniture fittings and architectural hardware, has selected QlikView to drive increased visibility into its sales performance in India. Hafele is also using QlikView NPrinting for its intuitive interface that allows reports to be centrally scheduled, generated, and delivered to a variety of recipients.

Hafele previously generated sales reports and Management Information System (MIS) reports through prolonged and inefficient processes. Unifying data from multiple sources like Oracle and various excel files using SQL developers proved to be time consuming. After reviewing a variety of analytics solutions, Hafele chose QlikView for its ease of use, speed, and superior data visualization features. Extracting and transforming data gushing in from various sources and generating MIS and sales analysis reports is now faster and more flexible with QlikView, and this has resulted in a dramatic decrease in reporting times, improved inventory control, and improved customer targeting in Hafele.

“Qlik’s highly flexible platform approach allows us to have the best of technology with an unmatched level of interactive analytics and control in the creation and the sharing of sales performance reports with hundreds of users across the organization. It has definitely helped us to save time and identify insightful market trends to drive effective business decisions,” said Prasad PVJ, Head, Information Technology, Hafele India. “Our users reported superb feedback using Qlik and it is helping them become more productive and satisfied at work.”

“We’re delighted that the Qlik visual analytics platform is helping Hafele to drive data-driven sales strategies and speed up operations. QlikView apps are so simple and intuitive that any business user across departments can easily analyze data and discover meaningful insights. Hafele can now rapidly create visually rich analytics and embrace the benefits provided by our user-friendly, self-service interface to derive greater value from their data,” said Souma Das, Managing Director, Qlik India.
