Fujitsu recognized for end-to-end Hybrid IT offering

Recognized in three Gartner Magic Quadrant reports covering infrastructure services markets in which Fujitsu’s comprehensive Hybrid IT capabilities have been evaluated

Fujitsu is the only technology solutions vendor to appear in three reports from analyst firm Gartner spanning a spectrum of IT infrastructure delivery strategies. Following Gartner’s recent positioning of Fujitsu as a Leader in its 2017 Magic Quadrant for Data Center Outsourcing (DCO) and Infrastructure Utility Services (IUS) Europe1, Gartner also names Fujitsu in two new reports on the cloud infrastructure market.

The 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed Hybrid Cloud Hosting, Europe2 defines managed hybrid cloud hosting as a “standardized, productized hosting offering that combines a cloud-enabled system infrastructure (CESI) platform — consisting of a pool of compute, network and storage hardware — and cloud infrastructure framework software to facilitate self-service and rapid provisioning”. Fujitsu also features in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Worldwide3, which “includes not only the Cloud IaaS resources themselves, but also the automated management of those resources, management tools delivered as services and cloud software infrastructure services.”

Conway Kosi, Head of Managed Infrastructure Services EMEIA at Fujitsu, says: “We consider that Fujitsu’s inclusion in all three of these Gartner Magic Quadrant vendor evaluation reports is due to our commitment to constantly evolving our next-generation Hybrid IT environments to deliver improved innovation and interoperability. Fujitsu provides deep expertise in Hybrid IT, combined with powerful service orchestration capabilities. This enables us to offer customers a solution for every need – from creating end-to-end next-generation IT landscapes through to the full outsourcing of their entire infrastructure. What’s more, we believe that our inclusion by Gartner in these reports is a powerful independent indication that customers can count on Fujitsu at every step to achieve the perfect balance of traditional and cloud-based services required to drive transformative change.”

Fujitsu combines its integrated Data Center Outsourcing and cloud-based Infrastructure Utility Services with a unique ability to manage any Hybrid Cloud deployment – including the orchestration of third-party cloud platforms at scale. Underpinning this comprehensive range of digital services is the Fujitsu Cloud Service K5, a global cloud platform which supports fast and robust IT, combining both IaaS and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) to provide organizations with increased agility, cost efficiencies and capabilities to rapidly develop cloud native applications. Fujitsu works closely with customers to tailor solutions that enable migration to the cloud at the scale and pace that is right for individual business landscapes – boosted by a local K5 cloud presence in regions across the globe, providing peace of mind regarding performance and regulatory compliance.
