DigiCert’s milestone reinforces PKI’s trust foundation, securing consumers, content owners, and TV manufacturers

DigiCert and CI Plus, LLP have reached a significant milestone, issuing over one billion DigiCert CI Plus certificates. These certificates establish common trust standards throughout the television industry ecosystem. CI Plus extends the original Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) standard, providing additional protection for pay-TV content. This allows European pay-TV broadcasters to securely deliver services directly to TV sets, eliminating the need for extra set-top boxes.
