CA Technologies Completes Transaction of Xceedium

All Xceedium personnel have joined CA. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed

CA Technologies said it has completed the acquisition of privately held Xceedium, Inc., a provider of privileged identity management solutions that protect on-premise, cloud and hybrid IT environments.

With the transaction complete, CA offers customers a comprehensive, flexible solution for controlling and protecting IT administrator or other privileged user accounts from external attacks or insider mistakes and malicious misuse. The combined solution provides privileged identity controls at the server and the gateway to control access and action based on identity. The proxy-based, gateway approach from Xceedium also provides privileged identity control over cloud, on-premise, virtualized and hybrid IT environments, helping to protect the systems driving the application economy.
