Akamai has appointed Louis Tague as Regional Vice President and Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), strengthening its leadership as enterprises across the region accelerate investments in cybersecurity, cloud computing and AI-powered digital experiences.
Tague will report to Sean Li, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific, and will oversee Akamai’s business across ANZ. His priorities will include accelerating growth, strengthening customer and partner relationships, and helping organisations maximise the value of Akamai’s security, cloud and AI capabilities.
With more than 20 years of enterprise technology sales and leadership experience, Tague brings extensive knowledge of the ANZ market and relationships across enterprise, financial services and government sectors. Before joining Akamai, he held senior leadership positions at CrowdStrike, Google Cloud Security, Mandiant/FireEye and Veritas, where he led teams and drove business growth.
“The region is an important market for Akamai, and our customers need a leader who understands both the local environment and the pressures they face.”

“The region is an important market for Akamai, and our customers need a leader who understands both the local environment and the pressures they face,” said Sean Li. “Louis knows this market well and has built strong teams and grown enterprise technology businesses in both markets.”
Tague said he was excited to join Akamai and would focus on learning from employees, customers and partners to identify where the company can create greater value.
The appointment comes as Akamai expands its capabilities across cybersecurity, AI and cloud computing and builds on its established customer relationships in one of APAC’s most mature markets.
