.
As per the organisers, they are committed endeavour to work with dedication on child rights and child protection, SARD has collaborated with Save the Children already on-going Aviva’s Street to School Campaign in the Nehru Place area of Delhi region with the aim to provide an overall development opportunity to street children and ensuring an enabling social and policy environment in India. We have collaborated with South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) who has provided space for setting up child resource centres in two of its school that include Modi Mill and Kalkaji B Block. It also caters to address their learning gaps, sensitize them on health, hygiene and protection issues for their better living. We also had engaged with different technical and vocational institutes to train these children parents and elder siblings on customised short duration trainings.

To continue momentum of this programme, we wish to organize few sensitization activities in Nehru Place market in close coordination with All Delhi Computer Traders Association (ADCTA), Nehru Place Market Association. During these activities, our volunteers will conduct few street theatre shows, put up exhibitions and mobilize the local shopkeepers not to employ any child labour in their shops etc. These volunteers will cover local shops, banks, commercial offices, Delhi Metro local restaurants, etc.
