Meta Appoints Ravi Garg as Managing Director, Enterprise Business for APAC

Ravi Garg

Meta has appointed Ravi Garg as Managing Director, Enterprise Business for Asia-Pacific (APAC), expanding its regional leadership as businesses increasingly explore AI-powered solutions and messaging platforms to transform customer engagement and operational workflows.

In his new role, Garg will oversee Meta’s enterprise strategy across APAC, focusing on expanding the company’s enterprise presence and driving adoption of its business solutions. His remit includes business messaging channels, Meta Business Agents and Muse APIs, as organisations look to integrate artificial intelligence into customer interactions and business processes.

“Ravi Garg’s experience in building WhatsApp’s enterprise messaging and payments ecosystem in India will be central to his expanded regional role.”

The appointment follows Garg’s more than five-year tenure leading WhatsApp’s business messaging and payments operations in India. He served as Country Director – Business Messaging & Payments from July 2021 to September 2026, building the platform’s commercial ecosystem and payment capabilities and strengthening its role as an enterprise channel for brands.

Garg brings more than two decades of experience across enterprise technology, sales, strategy and business management. Before joining Meta, he spent 13 years in senior leadership positions at Microsoft, working across sales, business planning, strategy and channel management. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer at Nazara Technologies and held a general management role at Sify.

His appointment comes as organisations across APAC increasingly evaluate AI and messaging platforms to deliver personalised customer experiences, improve service delivery and streamline operations. Meta’s enterprise portfolio is positioned to address these priorities through business messaging and AI-enabled capabilities.

Garg’s experience in scaling WhatsApp’s enterprise ecosystem in India could support Meta’s efforts to expand adoption across APAC, where businesses are seeking new ways to connect with customers and integrate AI into everyday workflows.
