Saviynt Strengthens Application Identity Security Leadership Across APJ

Saviynt

Saviynt has appointed Clinton Mottram as Head of Application Identity Security for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), strengthening its focus on securing business-critical applications as enterprises modernise IT environments and expand AI adoption.

Based in Singapore, Mottram will lead the company’s application identity security efforts across APJ, working with customers and partners to improve access governance, manage compliance risks and strengthen visibility into how identities access critical systems.

The appointment comes as organisations face growing complexity across enterprise applications, particularly large SAP environments, while seeking to scale AI without compromising security and control. Application identity security is becoming increasingly important as businesses need to govern access across interconnected systems, users and emerging AI-driven workflows.

“India and SAARC are among the fastest-growing markets for identity security in the region, as enterprises here modernise complex application landscapes, including large SAP estates, while scaling AI adoption. Clinton’s appointment strengthens our ability to support customers across APJ with the governance and visibility they need as they navigate this transformation.”

Mottram brings more than 25 years of IT industry experience across sales, consulting and strategic partnerships. He most recently served as an Enterprise Sales Leader at Amazon Web Services, where he led enterprise revenue growth and SAP cloud transformation strategy across ASEAN, developing a partner-led approach for mission-critical SAP workloads.

Previously, he was APAC Head of Strategic Account Sales and Transformation Leader at SoftwareOne. He also spent 14 years at SAP, giving him extensive experience in enterprise application environments.

“Having worked with some of the region’s largest and most complex enterprise environments, I have seen how challenging it can be to maintain strong governance as organisations modernise applications and adopt AI,” Mottram said. He added that his focus would be on improving access governance, visibility and control while helping organisations manage risk as they scale AI.

Saviynt’s latest leadership move also supports its expanding engagement with the SAP ecosystem, following the availability of its platform in the SAP Marketplace.

As enterprises increasingly connect applications, identities and AI systems, the ability to enforce appropriate access and maintain oversight will be central to reducing risk and supporting compliant digital transformation across the region.
