Monash Health, Victoria’s largest public health service, has completed a major digital transformation by moving its finance and supply chain operations to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, a shift aimed at strengthening governance, increasing operational efficiency and enabling improved patient care across the region.
Founded in 1850, Monash Health provides care to more than 1.2 million residents across south‑east Melbourne and delivers statewide tertiary services for complex women’s, neonatal and paediatric health. To support consistency across the Victorian public health system, the organisation needed to consolidate its fragmented technology landscape eight separate on‑premises systems and replace them with a unified, scalable cloud platform.
After a detailed evaluation, Monash Health selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to modernise its finance and supply chain functions, enhance transparency and streamline operations.
Rachelle Anstey, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Monash Health, said the program marks a major milestone. “The implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications marks the completion of a major enterprise systems consolidation program for Monash Health. By improving our systems, it gives us greater capacity to do what’s most important: reimagine care so people can live their best lives.”

By adopting Oracle Fusion Applications, Monash Health has standardised its finance and supply chain processes on a single integrated suite, supported by embedded AI, intelligent automation, and consistent workflows across the organisation. The health service is also using Oracle Guided Learning to accelerate staff adoption and ensure smoother transition to the new platform.
Meredith Rowan, group vice president for applications sales at Oracle Australia and New Zealand, said healthcare leaders are under increasing pressure to deliver more with fewer resources. “With Oracle Fusion Applications, Monash Health can harness embedded AI and intelligent automation to drive innovation, improve efficiency and build a more resilient and future‑ready healthcare organisation.”
The implementation was led by KPMG Australia, a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). Elise Wherry, National Industry Leader for Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare at KPMG, said the modernisation helps lay the foundation for better outcomes for Victorian patients and taxpayers alike.
