New short-depth PFC Sinewave models bring enterprise-grade power protection to smaller spaces
CyberPower’s newest Rackmount UPS line—the latest evolution of its PFC Sinewave series—has earned major international acclaim, securing the International Tech Innovator Award, the ESA Innovation Award, and finalist positions in both the ISE Network Innovator Award and Product of the Year Award. The recognition underscores CyberPower’s continued leadership in compact, energy-efficient power protection tailored for modern IT, security, and AV deployments.
The new models combine line-interactive topology, sinewave output, and EMI/RFI noise filtering, delivering clean, consistent backup power for sensitive equipment ranging from surveillance systems and networking gear to workstations and entertainment systems. The PFC Sinewave range—introduced in 2010—has long been a favourite for environments requiring Active PFC-compatible protection, and the latest refresh pushes this reliability further with engineering designed for emerging compact IT spaces.
“A compact UPS that punches far above its weight.”
At the centre of the new lineup is the CyberPower CP1600EIPFCRM2U, purpose-built for IT teams, security administrators, SMB owners, and education environments where uptime is critical but rack depth is limited. The unit’s lightweight 12.8kg design, combined with a 35% shorter chassis (27.4cm), makes it ideal for wall-mount racks, micro-data rooms, and edge environments where traditional UPS units simply do not fit.
Despite the compact footprint, the UPS includes automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to stabilise low voltages without draining the battery—significantly extending battery life. Users can access advanced controls, scheduled reboots, and email alerts via CyberPower’s PowerPanel management software, available as a free download.
For organisations seeking remote management, the UPS supports multiple expansion-card options including RMCARD205, RCCARD100, and RWCCARD100, enabling seamless monitoring through network interfaces.
CyberPower has introduced six new PFC Sinewave models—three in 1U form factor and three in 2U—covering 700VA to 2000VA capacities. The 2U lineup includes the CP1200EIPFCRM2U, CP1600EIPFCRM2U, and CP2000EIPFCRM2U, while the 1U range features the CP700EIPFCRM1U, CP1000EIPFCRM1U, and CP1500EIPFCRM1U.
As demand for compact yet high-performance UPS systems accelerates across Australia, CyberPower’s newest series stands out for delivering robust protection without the bulk—making it an ideal fit for modern, space-constrained deployments.
