Digital Connexion to Invest US $11 Billion in AI-Native Data Centre Campus in Andhra Pradesh

Digital Connexion

Digital Connexion has announced a transformative investment of approximately US $11 billion by 2030 to develop 1 GW of AI-native, purpose-built data centres in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, marking one of India’s largest digital infrastructure commitments. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board, solidifying its partnership with the state government to develop this next-generation campus across 400 acres of land.

Designed specifically for high-density AI workloads, the upcoming campus will cater to hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises, integrating advanced computing capabilities, robust power infrastructure, and intelligent cooling systems. These AI-native facilities will drive compute-intensive operations such as machine learning, generative AI, big data analytics, and high-performance computing.

This strategic move aligns with India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and supports Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to become a major digital and AI innovation hub. The project is expected to create large-scale employment opportunities, foster regional technology development, and help position India as a global leader in AI-driven infrastructure.

Digital Connexion already operates a data centre campus in Chennai and is expanding with another facility currently under construction in Mumbai’s Chandivali. These locations are strategically placed to ensure low-latency, carrier-neutral connectivity for mission-critical workloads.

The Visakhapatnam development is engineered for future-ready enterprise applications, sustainability, and environmental responsibility, with renewable energy integration, intelligent cooling, and energy-efficient designs. Built to address the rapidly escalating digital infrastructure needs of cloud, AI, and data-first enterprises, the new campus will enable high-performance computing at unprecedented scale.

With AI adoption accelerating across sectors, Digital Connexion’s investment promises to strengthen India’s position as a digital infrastructure powerhouse, enabling enterprises to innovate, scale, and transform with confidence.
